In the bedroom

It’s the end of week two in our new home, and Luke and I have finally carved out some time tomorrow morning to pop out and pick up a few pieces of furniture to make our space (and I mean s-p-a-c-e) a little cosier.

I’ve been taking a lot of inspiration from Talisa’s blog; her home & interiors tag sums it up pretty succintly. A huge Scandinavian influence and a largely minimal aesthetic in neutral tones of sand, grey, charcoal, white, black and rich acorn leather. I’m pretty fortunate that Luke lets me take the lead when it comes to furnishing our home (so far, at least!), which has left me pretty free to pursue frivoloties such as beni ourain rugs, copper wire baskets, and transparent ‘ghost’ chairs.

Currently topping the wishlist, although admittedly a much lower priority than say… a second couch and an outdoor dining table, are these handmade gem faceted side tables from Tuckbox for the bedroom. And then there’s those fresh white linen sheets – a small luxury that I can’t wait to get my hands on.
