Blue washed denim

I’d hazard a guess that most women have a pair of blue washed denim hidden away in their wardrobes, or strewn haphazardly across the back of a chair. They’re the easiest thing to throw on during a lazy weekend, running errands and catching up with friends, yet somehow they’re one of the few things that my own wardrobe has been lacking all these years. Pinpointing why wasn’t difficult, because if there’s anything I dislike as much as shopping for swimsuits, it’s shopping for a pair of jeans. Maybe it’s about being in the right mindset, or maybe it’s about finding the exact style that works best for me, as we all know that with the many styles, washes, and lets not forget about the fit, the task of finding the right pair can be an arduous one at best.

Keeping in mind that I’m after a pair of skinny fit denim, I’ve decided to stick to what I know; J Brand, Nobody Denim and Frame Denim, because, you can’t really go too wrong with the tried and true, right? The photo ready, cult skinny, and le skinny de jeanne have me pretty much sold with their slim fit, ankle grazing style and mid-blue washes, however I’m pretty open to suggestion. Do you have a tried and true favourite? x

Hi, have you thought about Rag & Bone or AG Jeans, both are amazing and the fit is great. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a change. This season I got the R & B leather pants – love! And the digital Luxe AG Jeans which have a digital destroyed look print with out the holes – Perfect! Natalie

I’ve never tried Rag & Bone! I’ll check them out this weekend – finally devoting some time to tracking down a pair x

I’m a nobody and j brand fan too!! I’ve found that other brands just do not stack up against these. I especially stay away from jeans made by non-denim-brands (like from normal fashion labels), they are definitely inferior in quality. The nobody cult skinny crop is so good for an ankle grazing shape!

Hey Steph – I’m thinking about buying a pair of the cult skinnys, perhaps in a faded black wash (they’re on sale on the Nobody website so it pretty much seals the deal). But totally agree, I prefer to stick to serious denim brands, they know what they’re doing šŸ˜‰

Yep, I know what you mean, I’m always on the hunt for the perfect pair! My old favorite was a Free People pair, but they dont make the style and color anymore so that’s depressing. Right now I have a pair of Current/Elliot dark denim that I love. Although nothing compares to the old pair of FP ones….le sigh. I’ve been wanting to try a pair of Frame Denim though

I recall you saying! Frame are nice, really soft too (depending on the wash) however my only complaint is it would be great if the rise was a little higher. But they’re a grey skinny jean x

Can’t go wrong with a good blue skinny jean and my go-to pair is by Current-Elliott. Looking forward to seeing what you go for. Great picks. šŸ™‚

J Brand is likely my favorite denim. Denim is such a go to item for me on the weekends.
