They say you can’t beat Wellington on a good day, and even in the winter, that saying rings true. On this particular weekend, it was made even better with the Wellington Food on a Plate food festival recently kicking off, making some of the more expensive restaurants more accessible to those of us without unlimited means. By some stroke of luck I managed to nab the last lunch booking today at Logan Brown, and I can only describe the meal there as both exquisite and incredibly delicious; I can’t help but wish that lunches were like that every day!
Following lunch I stopped by Karen Walker to check out some of the new pieces that had come in from her Sea Monsters collection. It was lovely getting to finally meet Karen, after shopping at her store for the past 8 years, and have a quick chat with her. Not only did she look absolutely stunning, but she was so sweet and incredibly down to earth. We capped off the afternoon with a beer in the sun at one of my favourite Newtown haunts, Baobab. Here’s hoping that tomorrow is just as good.
