Greyscale

Equipment sleeveless blouse, Ashley Fogel grey jumper, Supre white jeans, Topshop black heels, Alexander Wang emile tote, Marc by Marc Jacobs bolt bracelet

Something I never think I will tire of is the combination of creamy white and grey tones, most likely because I seem to associate this with the lead-up to the warm summer months. I’m pleased to say that in combination with the 30×30 challenge, my shopping ban seems to be going reasonably well, even though I’m keeping up a cheeky watchlist on eBay. I actually popped down to Karen Walker yesterday to try on a couple of the dresses from the Resort collection, and am proud to note that I stayed strong and refrained from buying anything which I count as a win considering I generally walk out of there with a new purchase! Still unsure how long to keep the ban going, but I’m thinking that a month-long is as good a start as any. In the meantime, I’m keeping up a sort of informal wishlist, including items I have in my wardrobe here.

Love seeing your outfits. I am a big fan of white and grey too. How was the resort stuff? Was it all in store? On the website there only seems to be dresses and tops so far. I’m pretty keen to get the polka dot boat pants – you know me and boat pants! I’m also hanging out to see the SH collections for next season – have you seen pics yet? I haven’t bought anything from the current collection yet – seeing as I can’t wear most of it at the moment I thought I might as well wait for sale time. I have been so restrained with shopping lately! Maybe I should try the 30 in 30 challenge too…

Ohh… I didn’t like it much at all! I had wanted the navy and denim polka dot dress with the frill at the waist, but when I tried it on it was ill fitting and didn’t sit right – same went for the drop waist dresses, they seem like they’re for girls who are 6ft tall or something! The denim polka dot boat pants are cute though, as is the hawaiian type floral (which they didn’t get anything that I wanted in store in this print unfortunately.
Haven’t seen the pics for next season yet, hanging out for it. Yes do 30 for 30 too, it’s fun!

Received the pegs dress yesterday, thank you lovely! I see what you meant about it being big, it’s a much bigger fit than the SH version, but I’m so happy with it all the same xx

Oh I’m glad you like the dress. It is so oversized isn’t it? Thanks for the review of the resort dresses, helps with my wish list. I wonder why the boat pants aren’t on the website yet? Ok, maybe tomorrow I’ll choose 30 items. Should be fun 🙂

I think it’s because only 5 pairs were made for all NZ in the boat pants and they were all down on pre-prder (or so I was told). I think Maximillia has them – they sure are pricey though.
I’m umming and ahhing as to whether I should get the iris scoop neck dress with asymmetrical hem. It’s so gorgeous but is it needed….?

you look fantastic! I would never have thought of pairing a white shirt with white jeans, but with the grey jumper it looks so chic. I’m loving your outfits for this challenge, I think I want to give it a go too! x

I love the simplicity of your outfit. I’ve never thought of wearing a grey jumper over my Equipment shirt. It’s getting colder now and I’ve found that silk is a great insulator. Thank you for the inspiration!

BTW, you’ll be featured on today’s Pass It Forward series. Take care!

Love the mussed up hair. You’re making this 30 for 30 look a breeze and I love everything I’ve seen so far. Still annoyed with myself for missing out on those Topshop shoes.

A classic clean look and tones will never go out of style and always be appealing. I really enjoy your blog and style. It reminds me of either something I would wear to class or to a conference…or maybe one day as a professor (maybe…I mean I still don’t know if I want to do that yet). I also wanted to thank you for your wonderful comment on Vanisha’s blog.
