It’s not often that I walk into a store and am absolutely floored. But visiting Lonely’s recently opened Wellington boutique during a trip home earlier this month was nothing short of special. From the unassuming shop front – a marbled concrete wall with the words ‘lonely’ inviting you in, to the minimal and industrial interior, complete with plush velvet sofas and curtains which beg you to stay and shop a while, it’s hard not to find yourself browsing the racks a little longer than you’d intended (or in my case – leaving with a shopping bag in hand…).
Designed by Rufus Knight, whose artful eye for detail and quality has captured the essence of ‘Lonely’ in this beautiful fit out, I’d go so far as to say that it makes for a truly intimate shopping experience – and one I didn’t want to leave; let’s just forget for a moment the fact that it was pouring with rain outside. Equally beautiful is Lonely’s Auckland boutique, and with a trip there on the cards for June, it’s pretty safe to say that I know where one of my first stops will be…

Hi Mademoiselle, I was intrigued by the title of your post, not realising that Lonely referred to a boutique! It looks absolutely beautiful and would seem to match your style and aesthetic. There is some attraction in this style…yet don`t know if it would suit me… looks like noones living in this room, as we are more used to filling in room with things ))) Reminds me a shop )) As wor me I would put in built-in wardrobe. That takes space but still organise everything…have seen some good solutions here https://www.bravolondon.co.uk/
