A Millie

Lover lace “millie” dress, Glassons cardigan, Alexander Wang bag and kori oxfords, Marc by Marc Jacobs katie bracelet, Stolen Girlfriends Club & Karen Walker rings

Currently feeling like I’ve had a bit of style schizophrenia this week, wearing pants with a jumper, then a blouse and skirt, following by jeans and a chambray shirt to now this, but I suppose we could just call my wardrobe versatile. Either that or accept the fact that this is just what happens when you’re working with a limited portion of your wardrobe.

It’s no secret that Lover is one of my favourite Australian labels, and my obsession with their lace pieces even less so. While I’m not always successful (and the prices often stop me from doing so), I generally attempt to add at least one Lover lace piece to my wardrobe each collection. The aptly named “Millie”, was it for Persona, mostly for its sweet take on the more sexier Christina that I picked up from last season, and partly as I was unable to secure my size in the “Rosebud” dress (here’s hoping I get lucky on eBay).

Lace dresses seem to usually be relegated to special occasions, but I’m all for ignoring those kinds of sentiments. Pairing lace with a long knit cardigan and ankle boots seems to be my general solution.

Haha I dress all schizo too so no worries. It always depends what my mood is- fancy or cozy? And that lace dress is lovely- especially paired with that chunky knit! I love when diff textures are mixed like that πŸ™‚

Such an adorable dress πŸ™‚ I can totally see why it’s one of your favourite brands. I’m not sure whether those are available around here / for international customers, but sure seems like a really nice label ! ^^ Nice casual & chic outfit.

This dress looks great on you! Know what you mean about the Rosebud dress though, the lace they have used on it is just so pretty. I think I’d like to get the skirt. Or the strappy dress on NAP. Do you like any of the pieces for next season?

I haven’t seen next season! I used to be able to pre order but that store will no longer be stocking Lover (devastated!) so am yet to get a peek at the look book. Is it quite classic? x
