Licorice stripes

Proenza Schouler stripe top, Lover symbol pleat skirt (similar), Alexander Wang kori oxfords, Proenza Schouler PS11 bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs shopper bag (lips print version), H&M necklace (similar), MBMJ katie bracelet

I thought I’d let you in on a little secret. I know in the past I’ve boasted about how much I can fit into my handbag, but as roomy as my PS11 is, it doesn’t quite fit things in it such as my lunch, or the number of miscellaneous – yet necessary – items I often find myself carting along to work with me most days. That’s where this licorice striped nylon shopper bag comes in. I purchased this on a bit of a whim last year from Shopbop, upon opening one of their all too infrequent spend & save emails, and found myself quickly selecting the options “add to cart” and entering in my credit card details. An act that probably occurs a little too frequently, although in this instance was one of those rare impulse purchases that instead of gathering dust, sees the light of day multiple times a week.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already Easter, as the days have been flashing by all too quickly for my liking, although the five day break is a welcome treat. Having suffered a boxing-related injury early on in the week (lumbar sprain/disc derangement), I’m hoping that a bit of R&R will help to speed up the recovery so I can my boxing gloves back on sooner rather than later. Quite possibly supplemented by an exorbitant amount of chocolate. Happy Easter!

Cute combo! The skirt is so pretty. Oh I feel you about the bag, I sometimes have to be saved by another bigger one to have all my necessary stuff!

    Cee. ♥

It’s so funny when you buy something on a whim and it becomes indispensable! Even if I had a particularly cavernous Proeza Schouler Handbag I wouldn’t put my lunch in it – lunch is definitely not good enough to mingle with the phone, wallet and multiple lippys 😉

I am so in love with this combination of the berry red & b&w stripes! It’s really lovely & so much more interesting than if the skirt had been black. Loving the oxfords too, I really need a good pair of (semi) flats like this.
It’s the best when an impulse purchase ends up being one of your most used items. Both jackets I brought from the Todd Lynn x Topshop collaboration were total impulse buys because they were too cheap in the sale to pass up, they sat unworn for months, but now they are easily my 2 most worn jackets, I actually don’t know what I’d do without them!
