Remnants of a whirlwind trip and hello 2013

T by Alexander Wang linen t-shirt, Isabel Marant shorts, Karen Walker sunglasses, Kustom jandals (similar)

As I suppose is becoming customary with these short trips up to Auckland, I seldom seem to whip out my camera, often getting caught in the moment enjoying the simple pleasures of reading a book, relaxing in the sun and catching up over a few drinks. Our short stay up at the beach was punctuated by walks along the coastline, freshly baked doughnuts, good company, and of course, enjoying the sunshine.

Another year, at its end, Christmas and Boxing Day sales come and gone, which leaves me looking forward to what the new year will bring. Moving home and starting a new job, of course being the biggest two changes upcoming in my life. It’s times like these that you begin to realise that some of the things that you spend your time worrying about, really aren’t worth it, and perhaps more time should be spent just enjoying the moment. Which, if I were to have a New Years resolution, that would probably be it.

But most of all? I’m looking forward to ending 2012, and starting 2013 with a few of the people that I love the most. Happy New Year!
