What started out as a wardrobe experiment last year, has since become the type of purchase which I can’t believe I had waited so long to make. And I haven’t looked back. Having spent years convinced that white jeans were only for girls with model like proportions, I always thought they would be something I would miss out on by default, with little convincing me otherwise. A lesson in itself that you should try things more than once, in all facets of life, as it may grow on you the second, third, or fourth time around. Six months was all it took for me to feel confident enough to splurge on a good quality pair, from what is quickly becoming my go-to label for jeans, J Brand. Now, white denim seems to catch my eye whenever I’m in a store, or browsing online, and I have to stop and remind myself that I don’t need another pair; or perhaps I need to convince myself I do, as anything white can be notoriously difficult to keep clean – the proof lying in the fact that I’ve had to wash these almost every time I’ve worn them. With winter well on its way in Wellington, I won’t be letting these go into hibernation along with the rest of my Spring/Summer wardrobe, instead, I’ll be looking to pair them with white silk blouses, creamy knit jumpers and sky high heels – my version of office appropriate.

How you manage to NOT look like a stuffed sausage in white jeans is beyond me. They look amazing!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. I totally agree, I feel like bloggers have a lot in common yet differ in some styles too. You have great style, followed you! x

You look so classy in white jeans! I have been jean hunting for MONTHS now, and the only ones that continuously catch my eye are white ones, but I’ve been too chicken! I’ll take some inspiration from you and take the plunge I think!

I love the *idea* of white jeans, and I’ve been sorely tempted to buy some, but I swear that I just manage to attract dirt the moment I wear something that can be easily marked or stained. I don’t think I’d mind washing them after every time I wore them, but I probably couldn’t even keep them clean for 10 minutes before sitting down on a bench that ends up having mud all over it or scuffing my knee on a wet patch of dirt or something. 😛 In other news, your KW bunny bracelet is quite epic.

I am LOVING the background of these photos, it’s so eye catching and fun next to your neutral outfit. and i’ve honestly never quite considered wearing white jeans, but they look so incredibly chic! i especially like it paired with a striped top like you did, it’s so nautical 🙂

super nice on you! I just wore white jeans for the first time last week after owning them for a year (it took some courage, hah). Anyway, they definitely have a few stains on them already…

Oh this is one of my favourite outfits of yours – so simple but so you. The white jeans are amazing. If I looked like that in white jeans, I would never take them off. I have to say, it can be challenging to find the right pair for yourself – it has to be the right weight and the perfect fit because white is a lot more unforgiving than any other colour. I think you hit the jackpot in this pair. Right, off to get my pair out.

White jeans & black jeans from J Brand are on my wishlist. After that I think I’ll stop buying skinny jeans for a while. I absolutely love yours, so I’m going to convince my mom to come shopping with me next month to buy a pair at the same time. J Brand is super soft, which I adore!

Good thing you came around to getting a pair because they look absolutely awesome on you and show off your killer figure! The whole look itself is just so chic! You’re one of those people that can take cool basics and make them look incredible. White silk blouse paired with them sounds very hip. Looking forward to that winter look! 😉

You look great in them! Definitely a wardrobe must have. Right up there with black jeans in my books. How cool is that street art behind you! Loving your black and white outfit and those kitty flats are adorable. I still regret not buying them every time I see yours

Oh you upgraded your white jeans – very nice! My white jeans now look like “boyfriend” jeans due to my smaller size. I still wear them but decided to get a new skinnier pair for a different look. Found the oerfect pair, wore them once, then washed them and the dye from the leather patch ran into the white denim. Damn.

I am glad you moved on from those preconceptions that white jeans would only look good on model like proportioned women ! These jeans look fabulous and you chose the perfect backdrop to feature the outfit. Beautifully done.
