Clearly, I can’t resist a good ‘pun’ or reference, no matter how cheesy it may be. Schools finally out for me, and while I hate to admit it, it’s somewhat of a relief. The knowledge that this evening will be free from study, as will evenings for the next three months, brings a small smile to my face, and has me looking forward to Christmas break more than ever. It’s been a learning curve, both figuratively and literally, challenging both my mind and my time management skills as I’ve attempted to juggle work, study, the blog, and my friendships, although I’d gather that I’ve come out relatively unscathed. When you’re at the beginning of a journey, it often feels like you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I’d be lying if I said that the past two weeks of buckling down and studying has been easy. There will always be a distraction, but keeping in mind that these commitments are relatively short-lived in the general scheme of things, can be hugely helpful in maintaining focus. The one thing that I’ve really taken away from this experience is that you can achieve anything that you set your mind to, and it’s never too late to start paving your way.
