Seeing scarlet

Enza Costa top, Karen Walker ‘tied up’ trousers (similar), bracelet & necklace, Marc by Marc Jacobs katie bracelet, Gorjana wrap bracelet, Meadowlark ring, Givenchy heels (similar)

I doubt it would come to anyone’s surprise that I was excitedly anticipating seeing Karen Walker’s Sea Monsters collection in the flesh in the months leading up to the season launch. Navy, white, and blush tones unassumingly make up the bulk of what I already own, allowing me to visually slot in all the pieces that I had on my wishlist – which typically, ran quite long.

These scarlet trousers were one of the things that topped the list, with their obnoxiously eye-popping colour, and cut in one of Walker’s signature styles with the new addition of a tie at the waist. My level of enthusiasm for these pants only grew when I tried them on, essentially turning into one of those “I have to have this” moments which seems to happen all too often. If the bold and bright scarlet isn’t your cup of tea, Walker cut the pants in both a navy crepe, and navy polka dot – both equally as covetable.

Yay for scarlet! I am so in love with this colour I cannot wait to pay off my KW dress in the same colour. These pants look so good on you too. I tried them on at Incu but pants just … meh on me. Haha.

How much longer til you get to pick up your dress? I didn’t try it on but I thought that red whale print was super cute 🙂 Ohh I’m sure they didn’t look as bad as you think – I reckon these are just like the boat pants minus the elasticated waist – doesn’t feel so casual for me

Gorgeous! Red pants are pretty hard to pull off, but they suit you and match well with your beloved Breton tops. Did you end up getting the paisley boat shorts? And did you decide which print to get in the peplum dress?

Thanks Kristin! I didn’t get the paisley boat shorts in the end – I got the peplum dress in that print instead (I think it’s called sea chain voile – I just loved the indigo/blue colour and the print.. it was so good in every piece I found it hard to decide). I did end up getting these pants in the midnight navy too – perfect for work.

Have you picked anything up yet? How is the baby?! x

Wow I LOVE those pants!! They look amazing on you! (and I still loooove those Givenchy heels! They’re on The Outnet but I’m trying to resist because I have nothing to wear them with 😉
[as for the jumping in heels, I dunno…it doesn’t bother me, I must just be so used to jumping that I can do it in anything, ha ha.]
