Country Road merino sweater, Lover the Label lace skirt (also love this style!), Acne Studios mape leather jacket & jensen boots, Mansur Gavriel bucket bag

Lover lace features pretty heavily in my wardrobe; it’s the mix of a classic cut (be it pencil, a-line or everything in between) with a beautiful lace, which seems to be reimagined every season. To pare things back a bit, I’ve been toning it down with my favourite pair of leather boots, and an oversized biker cut leather jacket – the ultimate dream team.

I recently made the shift into a more ‘creative’ industry (from corporate media, to pure media) which has meant that I’ve been trying to get a little more experimental with the dressier side of my wardrobe; which has meant that this combo has been coming out a little bit, in some form or another.

For those of you going from the opposite end of the scale (or just needing a little work wardrobe inspiration), I am putting together a few videos in the coming weeks which will focus on just that. No time like the present…

Great look! Are these the grained or smooth Jensen? They look great worn in!

Thanks Holly! Mine are the grain leather – I thought that they would be able to withstand a bit more wear and tear (although I l-o-v-e the smooth leather!)

I think you’re right about the grain leather – your’s look great broken in. More versatile too because I think the grain can look more casual & edgy, but be dressed up as well too. I’m going with the 40 also, the 39’s were tight & uncomfortable wearing around the house & they should be comfortable from the get go as yours were. Thanks for your help! 🙂
