With multiple festive themed gatherings behind me, I’ve managed to make it through the week relatively unscathed, although well in need of a quiet weekend. For me, I’m looking forward to curling up with the latest copy of the Gentlewoman, and reuniting with these Karen Walker ‘trixie’ sunglasses. After misplacing them while in Auckland two weeks ago, and subsequently finding they had been snatched from their ‘resting place’, I’m still feeling incredibly grateful (and lucky!) that the lovely girls at Karen Walker so graciously and swiftly replaced them.
I’m not usually one to be sentimental, but after three years, and countless overseas trips with this one pair of Karen Walker sunglasses, it’s difficult not to feel more than a little bit attached. I often liken purchasing new sunglasses to shopping around for denim, nigh on impossible to find just exactly what you’re after. So, not being one to tempt fate, I’ll be keeping a much closer eye on this pair, while simultaneously thanking my lucky stars that I’m heading into summer with my favourite pair of sunglasses; as though they were never gone!

Yep. That happened to me, except mine broke. It was a pair of Michael Kors cat eyes. I had one pair, lost them and magically found the same ones at Marshalls. But recently they broke and I havent been able to find the right size screw to fix them.
