Wedding cakes

I’ve been in full on USA planning mode lately which has meant that any wedding planning has really taken a back seat, although I thought it was time to share a small update on where we are currently at.

I’m yet to meet with the florist (on my to-do list though…) but I’ve recently put in the order for our wedding cake, which was a difficult decision in itself to make. I’d had my heart set on a cake from Andy Bowdy (which I can now say with certainty are delicious) however with the ‘cake-age’ fee for 50 guests coming in at close to the price of the cake itself, it made little sense, particularly when you’re on a budget.

Instead, I’ve taken to Pinterest for inspiration, opting for something that is simple while incorporating some of the elements from our overall theme. It’s definitely one of the more fun – and playful – aspects of organising a wedding, and you can bet your boots that if there’s one thing I’m excited for, it’s for cake tasting. Bring. It. On.
