Packing for a Beach holiday

Once again, I’m off on a short vacation, this time tot he beach north of Auckland for a week. Considering how much the weather seems to vary between Wellington and Auckland during the summer, I always find packing for trips up north a little daunting, and the predicted weather forecast of heat and rain will probably make for a rather humid trip. In these instances, I find it’s best to pack for all occasions, as getting caught out in a situation where it is much hotter, or colder than you anticipated is the worst, and can put a bit of a damper on the trip.

I’ve settled for my usual combination of blush, blue, white and grey tones, whilst choosing to opt for separates over easy to throw on dresses. As I’ll mostly be at the beach, I’ve chosen pieces that are loose-fitting (to throw on over my bikini), and comfortable to wear, and owing to the current void in my shoedrobe where a pair of flat sandals would sit, a couple pairs of black shoes and some colourful jandals.

I have to say I’m really looking forward to getting the opportunity to relax over the break, catch up on some reading, and hopefully, get some rays. Happy holidays!

Merry Christmas! Looks as though you had some nice warm weather. Hope you have a lovely getaway. Packing looks good, but the first thing I thought was, no sandals? Haha. What happened to the ones you wore in Greece?
