A new look

New Look mesh top (sold out but similar here), Brandy Melville bodysuit (similar), Willow leather skirt (similar here & I also like this option), Isabel Marant heels (similar), Proenza Schouler PS11 satchel

Taking a little bit of my own advice, my current favourite way to mix up my wardrobe of late has been by introducing a new silhouette; the flared sleeve top. It’s a trend that has been monopolising my Instagram feed, and I’ve been patiently waiting for the weather to cool down, so I could – figuratively speaking – jump on the wagon and put my own spin on it.

I found this cute polka dot mesh number from New Look via ASOS, and I just love the subtlety of the fluted sleeves, offset against a classic leather mini skirt. While I haven’t quite been brave enough to wear it with just a little bralette underneath (I think I might be on the wrong side of 20 for that…), it pairs really well thrown over a bodysuit, while still retaining its edge. It probably goes without saying, but the neutral colour palette still reigns supreme – some habits never die.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these voluminous sleeves are about to become a new addiction, with the recent addition of the ‘lost’ knit from Lonely (I blame their gorgeous store fit out…) to my wardrobe. Now, that wouldn’t be the worst thing… would it?

Haha that is so funny!! We were in Marrickville to pick up some coffee and it was the only sheltered spot on that rainy day! šŸ™‚ You know I wish Willow was still around – I just loved her pieces (and Kit X just isn’t the same!) x
