To Culotte or not?

I know, I know; I’m a little bit behind. I’ve been on the fence about culottes for the longest time; will I suit them? Will they be flattering on me? What colour? What length to go for? Voluminous or streamlined? Pleated or not?

But, with a little ‘push’, I’ve spent the better part of my free time scouring the internet for a pair – black, to be safe. I’ve been eying up this pair from Country Road, and a few pairs from ASOS which are a little more budget-friendly; although always in neutral colours – it’s the easiest way to integrate a new silhouette in your wardrobe.

I’ve been drawing inspiration from like-minded girls, and I plan on wearing mine (when I finally pull the trigger) with loose silk tanks, cropped tops, and cotton button up blouses; Oh! and heels. Always heels.

Those satin culottes are so good. I think you should definitely try them out. I know what you mean though, there are so many different options to choose from, but I think you can’t really go wrong especially when you style them like that. 🙂

I agree – I think a crop top is totally the main way to go, especially with the weather heating up. I ended up going for a pair from Country Road, and they’re SO swishy!

I’m all about it! Blogger Harper & Harley rocks this look and it makes me want to jump on board. But I’m sure it requires the right body shape also. Great post 🙂 x

I agree – she makes it look so easy too! I think with trends a lot of it is finding the right style to suit your shape, with culottes they all hit at different lengths so finding the right pair can be a bit of trial and error. I ended up going with a pair that I could try on (and I tried a few pairs) before finding the right ones x

To culotte! Definitely! Looks like a skirt, with the comfort of pants – what’s not to like? Personally, I like them printed and with flats, but that’s just me.

Okay so I decided to culotte! I got the Country Road pair – I think for me it was the easiest option, it’s almost like a midi skirt (but pants, yay!) and will be good with a cropped top (oh god who am I?!) in the cool evenings.

Oh the cutout ones? Would try those on if I wasn’t pregnant. I love the look of the loose lace crop from the Lover resort collection.
