Last night I dropped by Good as Gold to attend the launch of their Happy Socks pop-up shop (the first in New Zealand). Collaborating with photographer David Lachapelle, the pop-up shop features some of Lachapelle’s work, a collection of risque photographs with one main theme, bright, striped, spotted, multi-coloured Happy Socks. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the quickest way to put a smile on your face. Coincidentally fitting in theme, not only was I polka dotted and leopard printed, I also went with stripes in tow, because two prints just aren’t enough.

Get the look:

Hey! I’m thinking of buy the Seed Heritage espadrilles and noticed you have a pair, I was wondering what size you bought, because of the AU to European sizing. 🙂

    Thank you!

Hey! I’m usually an EU40 and I went with the size 40 – I find that they are true to size although perhaps a little on the small side. The leather ones stretch, although I can’t really speak for the canvas pair. I think I’m an AU 10? The insoles of most of my shoes measure 26cm for reference. I hope that helps somewhat!

I adore this outfit! polka dots and leopard print are a perfect combo, and that skirt is too cute x

With a post title of Happy Socks – I was thinking now how is Jamie-lee going to work this one but no – no socks to be found on your feet. Ah well.

Another perfect look – desperately need some leopard heels now.

Haha Sue, yes it seems it is a little misleading. Happy socks are indeed happy yet I’m not quite sure I could pull them off – I often feel that they’re more suited for men, as a bit of intrigue under a classically cut suit.

And thank you – if you’re a US 8, the DvF heels on Shopbop are on sale I believe. It’s hard to find a good pair though that are comfortable and not too pricey (and that don’t look tacky!) – good luck!

So great – I only wish they had a store nearby so that I could try things on, although perhaps that wouldn’t be so good for my wallet. Ah and thank you for the link! Might have to be a new addition to my wardrobe… 😉
