OOTD: Trying a new silhouette

I’ve been trying to experiment more within the boundaries of my personal style, as opposed to going completely off-piece. And what I’ve recently found is an affection for wearing my tops and knits worn loose. By no means one of the keys to great style, but I thought I’d share a quick post on it as it feels like a progressive shift in my outfits.

Wearing COS black silk kaftan (similar here and also here); Commando leggings; IRO wool coat (old but also love this); Gucci loafers (great dupe here); Linjer pearl necklace; Chanel vintage classic flap

Tucking in anything and everything had become synonymous for me with getting dressed. Par for the course, I suppose. But lately the constant repetition of this styling element had started to feel a little stale for me.

It’s a small change, but it feels fresh. Most of my outfits are centred around this concept of balance, which can either be reflected in how you manage your silhouette through the way you dress, or how you pair certain pieces together to achieve harmony. This particular “look” focuses on the latter. Pairing big with slim; the “big” being the oversized/loose top worn on my upper half, and the “slim” being a skinny fit on my lower half.

Some things haven’t changed though. Like my obsession with monochromatic outfits…
