China blue florals

Karen Walker dress (similar), Pointer x KW loafers (similar), Proenza Schouler PS11 bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs katie bracelet, Karen Walker botanicals ring, SGC bow ring, H&M necklace

This feels like all the usuals – same or similar jewellery, same shoes, same bag – the things that I just can’t help but put on as I’m getting ready. I guess I can’t help it. As a creature of habit, I get stuck into my routines – I like to eat the same foods every week, go for my ‘scheduled’ runs, and watch the same shows as I’m relaxing in bed. Quite obviously this extends to my wardrobe as well, the one place where I try to reach for something new, something that I haven’t worn in a while, although what inevitably ends up happening is that I pull out the same dress I was wearing a couple of days ago. You’d probably never know it, but over the last year I’ve become more and more comfortable of repeating outfits, rather than seeming intent on finding or discovering a new way to wear something, which at times seems draining when you start to feel like you have nothing to wear while staring at a full closet of clothing. So comfortable in fact, that this is pretty much what I wore about a year ago – except with an (unpictured) paler blue blazer.

Obsessed with the print of that dress! And yep, I’m a pretty routine person too, makes life easier, haha. I need to work that idea into my wardrobe too, would definitely save a lot of time, haha…but I am too willy nilly and change my style based on mood XD

Adore the print of your dress – so fun and feminine! I am soo a creature of habit as well – I like the idea of having somewhat of a style “uniform” – it makes things easier since i am NOT a morning person!

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with repeating outfits 🙂 I do that a lot but unfortunately I don’t get pictures of myself when I do. You look very pretty in this dress! I love the print on it.

That is such a beautiful dress. I’m a notorious outfit repeater – if it ain’t broke etc etc.

Totally the same, I get the same meals continually at the same restaurants too. I like what I like and often I’m uninterested in trying something new because I’ve found what I love. I have a wardrobe full of clothes yet I can’t help but live in only a small selection of items day in day out. I also love that I don’t feel like I have to justify my enjoyment of routine to anyone. We’re creatures of habit so they say…

There’s something very comforting about something familar – and if the formula is not broke, why try to fix it. In this instance, the dress looks as lovely now as it did a year ago. I’m dragging out my clothes from last year and the year before and hardly changing the mix. You get to know your own style – just go with it – it’s not a bad thing.

You look stunning. And I a a creature of habit to, except when it comes to clothing. I like to express myself and the way I feel by the way I’m dressed. And yes I am a very emotional person with a lot of feelings so there is a lot of variation 😉 But by all means. Do the things that make you happy, rund the runs you want eat the foods you want and well wear stunning dresses like these as if there is no tomorrow (btw I really like the look with the blazer as well :p)

🙂 I’m pretty similar to you. And because of that it’s actually a good thing that I don’t get my outfit pictures taken everyday; there would be lots of same outfits !
I really love the dress, pattern is truly adorable. Blue is definitely one of your colours.

Love your dress & accessories! And I can totally relate with you; I always end up sticking to what I know and what I’m comfortable with. I always order the same things whenever I go out and I repeat outfits as well 🙂

P.S. — Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog.

I know exactly what you mean, I’m the same too, especially with food (my weekly meals are like: pasta, pasta, pizza, pasta, noodles! Hah) but I think I prefer routine, I know what I like & I stick to it. I’m also one for having a wardrobe full of things & yet always wearing the same favourite pieces.
The dress is beautiful though, one of those pieces that no matter how many times you wear it people will still say how lovely it is, the print & the cut make it really special. Love the shot of all the jewellery too, I really need some chunky bracelets!

There’s nothing wrong with a bit of routine- especially when the result is so chic. Love your accessories!
