Searching for perfection

Enza Costa striped top, ASOS black leather skirt, Alexander Wang kori oxford shoes, Proenza Schouler PS11 bag, Karen Walker bracelet, Diva necklace

It seems I’m always hunting for the ‘perfect’ something. The perfect white blouse, the perfect pair of black skinny jeans, the perfect black leather skirt.. I picked up this black leather skirt last month from ASOS, when I had the good fortune of receiving a discount code for 20% off, which made it all the more difficult to resist. While it isn’t quite perfect, lacking the pockets I would have liked, and being slightly large so as to rest on my hips, it serves its purpose all the same. And I imagine will continue to do so, until I stumble across one that is superior in cut and fit.

I really like this look! Love stripes always 🙂

I am also on the hunt for a perfect leather skirt, seems to be a difficult quest! I have two that are either too big for me or just aren’t the right shape but for some reason I still wear. Mainly for the reason that I just really like leather skirts. I’ve been scouring second hand stores but I think you have to be lucky with that sort of sought after item!

Hi – 2 things – 1: Pockets would too much bulk & 2: Leather skirts that fit to the waist are really uncomfortable when you sit down

I think that all depends on the cut – I’ve had ones in the past with pockets and that sat higher on the waist, but just never one that fit quite the way I wanted it to!

Was this a slight impulsive buy because you just had to have the skirt then?

To some extent, yes. I have had multiple leather skirts over the years, and have been looking for one for a while – judging by the pics on the website I figured this would be a good match although failed to notice it had no pockets! I sized up as I was a little worried about it being to short in my actual size, so luckily it fits okay. I think most of my purchases are somewhat impulsive haha. Need to learn to say no – good thing I’m on a shopping ban 😛

I love that skirt! And I know what you mean, sometimes I can never find exactly what I’m looking for so I buy something else. But I usually end up just keeping the “something else” rather than buying the perfect one even if I find it because I already spent the money so why waste it XD

love how you styled everything here – the spikey necklace is the perfect topper for your breton/black leather ensemble 🙂

i think everyone’s on the hunt for that ideal item. it’s such a great feeling to finally find it though!

I haven’t worn a skirt in a while. I’d love to get a pair of leather pants though because of the horribly wet and cold weather here. I’ve been hearing so much about Enza Costa lately. I must check out the brand. As for the PS1 – divine!
