A quick refresh

Wearing Everlane ryan tank, Vintage high-waisted denim shorts Starting off the month with a fresh new haircut; it’s a little bit shorter than I’m used to, but a little bit of change can’t be a bad thing. It’s almost like pushing the refresh button, or starting over, even if it is just an inch or so.

Le Vernis

Whenever it comes to nail polishes, I can’t help but be fiercely loyal to Chanel. Their varnishes might not last much longer than two days (or sometimes four, if I’ve been patient enough to paint three coats), but there’s something irresistible about their boxy bottles and black Chanel stamped lid. It helps that Chanel’s carefully edited selection of posy floral and soft pinks is practically unrivalled, and I’m yet to find any other formula that looks quite as natural against my skin. They might not be the cheapest way to get your beauty fix (clocking in at just shy of…

All layered up

Country Road silk blouse (similar), J Crew textured sweater, J Brand Maria skinny jeans, Karen Walker x Beau Coops loafers, Proenza Schouler PS11 satchel, Kate Spade bracelet There’s one thing that I definitely wasn’t expecting upon moving to Sydney, the rain. Given that it’s hard to “drop” by the shops and not leave without wanting something, I know I can’t be alone (at least I hope I’m not!). So, with much trepidation, I’ve decided to embark on a new challenge, adhering to the rules of the five-piece French wardrobe. Yes, you read right. Five pieces, one season (I’m talking A/W here, for those wondering). This coming from the…

Packing for a long weekend away

It was a *little* last minute, but I’m currently en route to Wellington to spend a long weekend (and my birthday weekend at that) with my family. It’s a short and sweet trip; five days and four nights away from home, though I’m hoping that I’ve finally managed to nail the whole process of packing light. I’m only taking a small carry-on suitcase and my Cuyana tote, which should at least help to keep the contents of my suitcase to a minimum. The only thing that really could have held me back? The fact that I had to account for…
