A little late to the party, but as I tend to do every year, I wanted to share my curated edit of the items that I would personally consider adding to cart from the 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The sale officially opened to the public on 12 July, so it’s free reign regardless of whether you’re a Cardmember (or not). The beauty of this sale is that for those in the US, it gives you a chance to shop new season essentials at up to 50% off. That said, I always recommend doing your due diligence before thinking about adding anything to cart. You have until 3 August to shop the sale, so plenty of time to browse, or watch and wait…
My top tips for shopping the sale?
- Have a plan. Know what you want to add to cart and stick to it
- Do not compromise. If you want a 100% natural fibre knit, don’t settle for something with a small percentage of synthetic. And don’t buy a tan boot in suede if what you were really look for was a black boot in smooth leather
- Shop by category and size. This helps to you filter out some of the noise and see what options are actually available to you. I also like browsing by brand too
- Add items to your wishlist. You’ll find items go in and out of stock and this is a good way to keep track. You could even use a tool like Carted which sends you restock notifications

My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks
Broken down by core style categories that I like to shop, with a handful of honourable mentions that I think are worth a peek…
OUTERWEAR
My top picks for outerwear include this divine wool and cashmere blend coat from Theory. It feels like it’s rare to find quality 100% natural fibre outerwear that doesn’t break the bank and this is one area that will always be worth spending a little more on. The blend is 90% wool and 10% recycled cashmere, and being a double faced wool, this will feel extremely insulating on. Also, it’s navy, and a classic design. I don’t think you can go wrong, especially if you have the budget to splurge a little here.
For something more stylised, I adore this Bernado leather jacket. It’s a little longer through the body, and has four patch pockets on the front which seem to combined edgy and utilitarian moods. This, worn with a crew neck knit, a straight leg jean, and some low heeled boots would be chef’s kiss. Nordstrom’s signature brand have done a cropped version which has a very classic-leaning silhouette if that’s more your speed.
Final pick is a trend piece; a barn jacket from Levi’s. This is an excellent option for a relaxed/casual transitional weight jacket and I find this style works well both with tailoring and casual bottoms like jeans.
KNITWEAR
If you’re after a classic cashmere knit, the Nordstrom Signature collection probably has the best offering from the sale. I love that there’s also a short sleeved version (my personal pick!). That said, if you wanted something more affordable that you can shop later, Quince’s cashmere crew has long been a winner in my books, or else you could try this one from Naadam.
The other knit that really caught my eye is this cotton crew from Pistola Denim. I love the graphic design of the knit, but also, it has a lot of details that feel reminiscent of The Row’s Ophelia sweater (without breaking the bank), which include the sculptural sleeves, boxy fit and double layered collar.
BAGS
You already know what bag I’m going to recommend; the Madewell Bucket Tote. This is up there as one of my favourite ever bag purchases. The leather softens up beautifully with wear, it can be worn crossbody, it fits a laptop, it’s chic as a baby bag etc etc. It’s just the best.
If you want something with a bit more structure but that gives off a similar vibe, I’d be looking at this hobo bucket tote from All Saints. I love that it has some edgier elements with the exposed zippers, as well as a slip pocket on the side. It’s worth noting that it is a slightly higher price point so if you’re tossing up between the two this might be the decider.
SHOES
My shoe pick would have to be these suede booties from Steve Madden. The perfect shade of cognac, and these would add some rich texture to your outfit (don’t forget to spray a suede protector on them!). It’s always nice to have a little low block heel too for that touch of height, which is reasonable enough to walk 10K+ steps in. I also think that these Matisse Chelsea Boots are a winner; a classic style which won’t date.
And it would be remiss of me not to mention these little pumps from Linea Paolo. They’re giving Sezane Paula Babies, but with a more manageable heel height, and lower price tag.
TOPS, BOTTOMS & DRESSES
I have to admit, outside of the above four core categories, there wasn’t much that excited me. But I did find a few gems, my favourites being…
A 100% cotton lace blouse from Caslon. This looks much more expensive than it actually is; a beautiful way to bring some texture or visual interest into an outfit, and I think it would look really pretty style with the top few buttons undone.
This sleeveless suede Nordstrom Signature dress. First and foremost, I adore the colour. A sumptuous rich cognac hue. The style is giving 60s mod; pretty classic and for that reason I also feel quite forgiving. I would probably style this with a roll neck knit underneath, some opaque tights, and a knee high boot for winter.
And finally for the office – to buy now and wear now – a sleeveless cotton dress from En Saison. This has such a beautiful silhouette; a nice fit and flare style which will be universally flattering. It’s the ruched detailing across the waist that has the wow factor for me.
That wraps up my 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks – I hope for those of you seeking out some worthwhile staples for your seasonal wardrobe, that this helped to cut through the noise a bit. I’m curious if you think there are any gems that I might have missed, and also, what you’re planning to buy from the sale. Sound off in the comments! x
