Summer vs Winter Style

Over the years, I’ve spoken at length about why I love the transitional seasons. Cross-pollinating your summer and winter wardrobes for the perfect blend. I tend to find it’s a good opportunity to get a true sense of which style favourites are more than just a seasonal crush. As in, which ones can be worn year round with a little layering or styling. Wearing Blanca shirt; Re Rhee shorts (10% off with mademoiselle2023); Saben coco bag (15% off with JAMIELOVESSABEN) Not a new concept – and perhaps one I’ve mentioned in the past – but I was reflecting on how…

A week of casual outfits ft. my fave old knits

Reunited with my knitwear stash, or more broadly speaking my entire wardrobe. Post-move, and currently in organisation mode, as I sort through things that have been tucked away for six months or more. Some, closer to two years; items I packed away in haste or that I didn’t want to have “taunting” me from my closet during pregnancy. So this week, I’ve opted to pull out five knits that I’m looking forward to having on rotation this autumn. Some colour, but mostly classic styles in cosy cashmere. Any particular ones that you recognise? OUTFIT #1 | Nothing Written sweater (10%…

What I Wore: Jenni Kayne Oversized Sweater & Tibi Pleated Skirt

There’s a backlog of outfits I’ve worn recently, that I’ll probably lump together in a singular post. But for today, I wanted to break down this cosy autumnal outfit I wore in late February for a day of work, and to meet up with my friend Rose for coffee. Sydney was unseasonably cold; usually I’d expect my sweaters to be on hiatus until at least April, but the weather called for it, and I was more than happy to oblige. This one is a cotton cocoon sweater from Jenni Kayne (15% off sitewide with code JamieLee15), which has a super…

A week of Parisian style transeasonal outfits

Parisian style outfits; at least, the outfits that we most commonly associate with the French, will always be my go-to this time of year. Effortless and chic, they are simple at their core. And typically made up of styles you’re likely to have some form of in your closet already. Excellent. For me, this interpretation usually looks a little something like this. Stripes, two-tone pumps, neutral tones, ballet flats and trench coats. Which of these outfits would you wear? OUTFIT #1 | Jenni Kayne striped knit (15% off with JamieLee15); Facade Pattern trousers (10% off with mademoiselle2023); About Arianne ballet…

A week of transeasonal workwear outfits

Expect to see a lot of these sorts of outfits over the next couple of months. For me, my favourite time of year as it’s when you can truly maximise your closet. Layering! Bare legs! Knitwear and sandals! Need I say more? This week I’ve focused the edit on workwear (and, apologies for the delay in posting). Hope you get some ideas for the week ahead! OUTFIT #1 | Ceres Life t-shirt; Tibi patent skirt (similar here); Tibi Liam blazer; Sam Edelman shoes; Saben bag* (15% off with JAMIELOVESSABEN) OUTFIT #2 | Uniqlo U tank (old but love this); The…
