Wearing Lover Dandelion dress, Kate of Arcadia leather clutch and Emma & Roe rings: Blue & White Stack Ring, Plain Silver Stacking Ring, Beaded Silver Stacking Ring, Oxidised Silver Stacking Ring, and Silver Ridged Stacking Ring

If there’s one word that comes to mind to describe a wedding, it would be without a doubt, magical. The ceremony, the vows, the exchanging of the rings – it’s enough to get a girl all misty-eyed just at the thought. But, if there’s one thing I always struggle with (aside from holding back the tears!), it’s how to dress for a wedding. Do you wear black, or don’t you? Shoulders covered, or exposed? Cocktail length, or below the knee?

It can be tricky, and with a few weddings to attend coming up – and perhaps most excitingly, the wedding of a good friend tomorrow afternoon – it’s these kinds of questions that have been weighing heavily on my mind in recent weeks. It hasn’t helped that every dress I’ve liked has either been way out of my budget, or has been too close to the bridal shade of white for my liking.

So I’ve taken to shopping my wardrobe for the occasion, and while I’m still tossing between two very different options, there’s one thing that I am certain of, it’s the accessories. A simple black leather clutch, and rings, upon rings, upon rings.

To add a bit of fun to an otherwise understated outfit, I’ll be stacking a heap of silver and gold toned rings on my fingers come tomorrow. The key is to mix metals, textures and widths, and if you are partial to a knuckle ring, one of those won’t go astray either.

My current favorites are the ones I’m wearing above, from Emma & Roe; I find that these just tick all the boxes, and have me covered from a simple silver band to a statement gemstone ring (as well as looking great for everyday too!). These have been glued to my fingers for the last week, and I love the idea of wearing something a little edgier on my fingers with a delicate feminine dress. I find stacking these two or three to a finger looks best, and keeping the odd finger bare helps to really make the rings stand out.

I’d love to know, how do you accessorize when it comes to weddings? Anything off limits (aside from the obvious – no wearing white, that is!)? x

Six for every day already? I think the most I have on at once would be that many. Do you stack yours?

Your dress really caught my attention and combined with the I.M. pumps, you look perfectly attired for a wedding.
