30% off at Reformation

reformation sale 30 per cent off everything

There’s a few sales kicking off at the moment, so I wanted to share a few of my favourite finds, starting with Reformation. Ref is one of those brands that I love to browse online. The aesthetic is soft and feminine, and many of the items are made with deadstock or natural textiles. And then there are the prints, which are always something special. When I woke up this morning to see an email in my inbox that there was 30% off sitewide, I couldn’t help but do a little window-shop.

After making my way through the whole catalogue, I’ve narrowed it down to my top three picks (plus some extras in the carousel at the bottom of this post). One thing I do want to mention – be careful if you’re buying any items made from viscose/rayon. I’ve mentioned this before, but it has a tendency to shrink when washed (so trust where the label says dry-clean only). And something I can totally vouch is their denim. I have a pair of the high & skinny in black, and they’re probably the most comfortable pair of jeans I own. If you’d like to know more about my first experience shopping from the brand, you can read this post here.

The Yucca Two Piece

I was initially drawn to this two-piece set in the white, but felt stopped in my tracks when I spied this black and gold floral version. The top has a smocked panel at the back, which is great as it means it’ll be suitable for a variety of bust sizes. For me, I see so much versatility in this set both worn together, or as separates. I can imagine this looking really sweet with sandals for a more relaxed look in the day, and hair out and long. Or, worn with a fancy up-do and some high heels for evening. The top would look great paired with high-waisted skinny jeans, slinky slip skirts, denim shorts, while the skirt would be a perfect match for a silk cami, a linen shirt knotted at the waist, or even a chunky sweater worn with sneakers. Plus, it’s 100% linen – my favourite fabric for the warmer months.

The Sigmund Dress

This to me is such an iconic dress style from Reformation. It’s ladylike and ultra-feminine, with slight medieval vibes (those puffed shoulders and square-neckline), and it just feels vintage in the best kind of way. Despite the simple silhouette, there’s a high thigh slit on the left leg. I love this kind of detail as it’s really flattering, and feels a little sexier. Word of warning that I mentioned earlier, this is made from rayon/viscose, so the upkeep will be a lot higher than with a linen or cotton piece. I hand washed my ‘peach’ dress and found that it shrunk a full size, so don’t make the same mistake I did!

The Menage Sandal

Reformation are known more for their pretty dresses than for their shoes, but these low block strappy sandals look like a great option for summer. They remind me a little of my By Far tanya mules, but in one of my favourite textures; a mock croc leather. Slip on mules like this are so effortless, and look great paired with everything from denim to pretty sun dresses. They come in a few different colours too, including a delightful forest green.
