As I type this, I’m sitting here in a sleeveless top, with my ankles bared. Winter may have begun, but it’s yet to enter the chat. So for days when I’m in the mood for layering, I’m leaning on a transitional season favourite; the classic trench coat. I’ve got three styles here which lean a little more classic, but in a worsted wool with a soft fluid drape to it. If you’re a regular around here, then you’ll pick up on the usual styling tricks I feature weekly. Rule of thirds; colour balancing; tonal styling; blocks of colour; use of texture. Simple tools, but ones which will make putting together an outfit just “click”.
