Happy Friday everyone! Today I wanted to kick off a new series on the blog; my Friday Finds. I’m planning on doing these at least once a month, to share fascinating fashion news I’ve stumbled across, any exciting product launches I have my eye on, or an outfit that has been inspiring me lately. So.. let’s jump into it!

Black Friday sales seem to be starting earlier and earlier each year – and I’ll admit, I’ve already fallen for it (I decided to snap up this bracelet and these denim shorts while they were 30% off). It’s the time of year when we tend to be spending a little bit more on ourselves and our loved ones. So this article was an eye-opener on the psychology that stores use to get us to buy more…

Have you had a chance to check out Everlane’s new alpaca sweater? I received mine this week and have a few thoughts: it’s very lightweight and it is soft (though I still think their cashmere is softer), with quite an oversized fit which is super snuggly for the those facing a cold winter season ahead. But… it has a bit of wool content to it so if you have sensitive skin, you’re probably going to find this one a little itchy.

A very interesting article from a woman who hasn’t used a facial cleanser in two years. I have quite sensitive skin so I think a lot about paring back my skincare routine and thought the dermatologist’s comments on the subject were quite fascinating.

Speaking of beauty, a brand I’ve been meaning to try for some time now is The Ouai. Jen Atkins’ haircare brand has a cult following, and it seems the hype is real around her latest product: a perfume line.

Alexander Wang’s collaboration with Uniqlo launched this past week; while we’re heading into summer here in Sydney, I really appreciate the focus on elevating simple basics, rather than a whole collection centred around trend/statement pieces which would probably go out of style six months from now. Admittedly I’m not really in the market for even basics at this point, but I do really love the look of the sports bra, ribbed leggings, and the sleeveless top.

I’m still mapping out my summer wardrobe, but I have to say, ASOS’s edit for the season ahead is pretty spot on. Lot’s of little white dresses, tortoiseshell statement earrings, woven sandals and plenty of polka dots.

Luke and I recently celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary, but that doesn’t stop me getting excited about the fact that Stella McCartney is launching her first bridal collection. Can I get married all over again please?

Hiya, love the fact that you have started Friday Finds!
I feel like I’ve been wanting this for a while, as I love your style, and am keen on seeing what you’ve been looking at yourself. I’m addicted to The Iconic, so am always excited to see links to it lol 😉
Keep up the wonderful work, you are really talented x

Thank you Laurenne, that’s great feedback to hear! HAHA I am the same – it’s so dangerous especially as you get the item the next day!

I really like your taste in clothes and so it’s super fun to see a sort of curated list of things that are catching your eye.
    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much Kitty! I’m looking forward to sharing a bit more, perhaps fortnightly around my other content 🙂
