Designer Dupe Affordable Alternative Wearing Toteme Jeans

Happy Friday! With spring practically on our doorstep in Sydney, I’ve been slowly pinpointing any gaps in my seasonal wardrobe. And one thing I noticed was missing? A smaller straw bag. As it’s been a while since I shared an affordable alternative to a designer piece, today I wanted to highlight a recent find; a Loewe Basket Bag dupe.

I often like to joke that I’ve got champagne taste on a beer budget, so I usually have my eyes peeled for affordable alternatives to designer pieces. Where something is a little more trend-led or seasonal, this mindset gives me the ability to stretch my clothing budget a little further. Plus, it stops me from investing too much into something that might be a passing trend.

Basket bags are a style that I tend to associate with the spring and summer months, and the Loewe Basket Bag is definitely up there as a chic but classic option. That said, for a style which is going to get considerably more wear and tear than a traditional leather bag, the designer price tag is a bit of a tough pill to swallow.

So, I was pretty thrilled when I spotted this Loewe Basket Bag dupe for under $100. For me, it ticks all the boxes. It has that iconic Loewe shape, and faux leather patch on the front. But what I like is that there’s a twist on the style too, which distinguishes it from the designer version. Two small tassels attached to the handle on one side, and a detachable shoulder strap. There’s also a small pouch on the interior to keep your belongings secure.
