Two weeks in and almost at the halfway point, I’ve gone for a classic combo I always love wearing. My Joseph knit sweater, paired with faded black skinny jeans a two-tone pumps. Yesterday’s outfit was inspired largely by Jess Molina. I’d spotted a very similar look on her Instagram last week, and loved the juxtaposition of wearing casual elements with more glam pieces; both in texture, and in silhouette. So, I set about to recreate the look using items I’d included in my capsule. The four-month sleep regression is exhausting. I’m almost tempted to start spending my days in loungewear, working where I need to from bed. My weekend outfits definitely reflect that, as I opted for easy, relaxed basics which were the next best thing. Wrapping up the week in another denim look. These Madewell jeans are fast becoming one of my most worn items – something I see myself reaching for again and again throughout the next three weeks. All dressed up and no where to go. At least, that sums up how I felt when I put this on yesterday. I’d wanted to include a couple of “dressier” tops in my capsule – this sculptural option being one of them – as I could see myself easily falling into a bit of a rut.
