VIVAIA Boots Review & How to Style Them

VIVAIA Boots Review

Boots are a firm style staple in any winter wardrobe, and as we’ve previously established (Link to first VIVAIA shoe review video), shoes have the ability to make or break an outfit. Now you know. And today, I’ve partnered with VIVAIA to share a mini review of two classic boot styles, and the modern way to style them for right now. Oh, and I have an exclusive Black Friday sale discount which will score you up to 30% off any purchase. Keep reading for all the details…

About VIVAIA

I’m sure you’re well familiar with VIVAIA at this point, but if you’re new here, the brand focuses on creating and designing shoes which are equal parts sustainable and stylish. Their boots are made using ethically sourced wool or yarn from recycled plastic bottles. Each pair has this beautiful stretch which conforms to the shape of your foot, and makes them so comfortable to wear. Additionally, the soles are made using an anti-carbon non-slip rubber.

As someone with wide feet and a bunion, I have come to lean on the brand heavily as I find their shoes to be the ultimate in comfort. No “break-in” period required.

VIVAIA Rebecca Square-toe Block Heel Knee-high Boot

I think I may have a new favourite boot. They’re giving me Buffy circa 1997, in the best kind of way. The knee high boot, which really seems to be having a fashion moment right now. The VIVAIA Rebecca Square-toe Block Heel Knee-high Boot are a wool ribbed knit fitted boot, with architectural 2-inch heel and a square-toe.

The ethical wool yarn upper is water repellent (tried and tested!), and has a fuzzy soft terry lining. A great way to add an extra layer of warmth, especially when layered with tights or thermal leggings.

I’ve managed to sneak in quite a few wears (honestly, these boots are so good), and not only do they look chic, but they’re comfortable enough to run in too. I love that they’re made from a stretchy ribbed knit; they hug the calves nicely and don’t slip down. The only time I’ve had to adjust them is when I’ve crouched down to grab something.

I have a petite length inseam and so these come up to the very bottom of my knee, so I like to fold over the top band. This stays put, but also adds in a little extra detail which I personally really like.

SIZING | These fit true to size. Based on the advice from the VIVAIA size guide, I went up a size as I have both a wide foot and a bunion. I’m usually an EU40, and I got the Rebecca Boots in the size EU40. They fit perfectly. Best part about the stretchy knit design is that these will fit regardless of calf width.

VIVAIA Regina 2.0 Square-Toe Water Repellant Bootie

The second pair are a high ankle boot; the VIVAIA Regina 2.0 Square-Toe Water Repellant Bootie. I’m wearing these in the colour ‘dark chocolate’, a beautifully rich cocoa hue in a mottled yarn. Again, these have that same architectural block heel, which adds a real design focus to the boots. Despite having a heel that’s a little over 2 inches high, these are extremely comfortable to walk in. The block heel distributes your weight evenly, making these a great choice for wearing all day.

A sock style bootie, the elastic pull tab at the back makes these easy to slip on. Plus the stretchy nature of the yarn means these will fit everyone. Again I love that they’re designed with water-repellant yarn, making these a perfect addition regardless of climate.

One thing I’ve really come to expect with VIVAIA shoes is comfort, and these don’t disappoint. I’ve worn them out all day and not a single blister. Plus they kept me nice and warm.

For styling, I personally love how these look when worn with a maxi length skirt, or a pair of straight/wide leg pants. The opening of the boot is covered. This has an elongating effect, especially when worn in a monochromatic outfit. It also looks quite seamless, and is pragmatic too. No cold ankles!

SIZING | Again these fit true to size, however if you have a wide foot or bunion you might like to size up as I did. I’m usually an EU40, and opted to get the Regina 2.0 in the size EU40. They’re a perfect fit, and I can wear them with a super thick sock too!

Hi! How tall are you? You mentioned you have a petite inseam but your legs look long? I’m interested in the knee high, but it says 40 cm shaft and that would be about above my knee T_T I wonder if that would still work out~

Hi! I’m 172cm tall but my inseam to top of my ankle is 69cm. I actually find that these come up over the bottom of my knee too, so I roll them over and it stays in place 🙂
