Weekly Wishlist: Reformation

Ending the week with some items I’ve recently saved to my bookmarks from Reformation. It’s been a while since I purchased anything from the brand, and safe to say that I’ve been tempted to spend some of my monthly budget there. So let’s chat about what I’ve been wish-listing, and why (PS. the above image is fully shoppable).

1 | Reformation Glenna Cashmere Sweater
One thing I’ve realised with my wishlist picks is I often tend to play it safe. Silhouettes I know I’ll feel comfortable in; usually ones that are already in abundance in my closet. So, you’ll probably recognise this silhouette. I made a very late night purchase when I was in the depths of the newborn bubble, from a store I can’t even recall. The shopping experience left a sour taste in my mouth, but the top has been a standout. An affordable dupe for that top from Khaite. This feels like an upgrade. It’s that same silhouette I know I like, but in cashmere. Still mulling this one over, but I think it’d be a nice option to have during the colder months. I love the creamy “gossamer” hue, but I feel like the colour “cocoa” would be more of a step away from the one I already own.

2 | Reformation Mason Pant
2021 was the year I really fell in love with trousers. Before that, I was solely a denim girl through and through. Or I’d go with the more feminine option; a sundress or a mini skirt. I’ve been want to expand on the different silhouettes I have because as mentioned, I can be a bit of a one trick pony in that regard. A bit of variation is key. As a tip for a small wardrobe, having different silhouettes (and fabrics), will be the thing that makes it feel like your outfit opportunities are limitless. So, to the trousers. The cut is what drew me to them. Sharp, with a relaxed straight fit through the leg. Pleated at the waist, they feel nicely tailored. But the fabric – a tencel lyocell – gives the impression that these would work both for formal and more casual occasions.

3 | Reformation Senna Twist Block Sandal
I’m glad to see that mules haven’t gone anywhere. Slides are my #1 most worn shoe of the spring and summer months (autumn too, if we’re counting), but I love a good heeled pair to add refinement and literal elevation to an outfit. The strap across the foot is twisted, which is what stops this style from feeling basic. And it’s made from “glove leather”, which looks puffy and soft. Comfort is king in my books, and that really sealed the deal for me. They also come in a flat version too.

4 | Reformation Odette Linen Dress
Again that common thread. Leaning onto styles that I’m well familiar with, and love. Details that make this beautiful linen dress different to the ones I already own? That sweetheart neckline, and fitted bust with empire waist. Talk about an effortless summer piece. Ref do dresses well, so it’s always a struggle to narrow it down to just one favourite. Also comes in black and a striking magenta hue (if you’re up for a bolder colour choice!).

5 | Reformation Barry Top
My final pick is this puff sleeved top, with ruched bodice. The two in combination seem to be on trend at the minute, but in a crisp white, it feels more classic than anything. I’m drawn to that square neckline, and I really appreciate the smocking at the back – something that is always very forgiving. An easy way to style up a pair of straight leg jeans, or worn with a tapered trouser and heels for more of a date night look. Cute!
