The mid-year end of season sales have always been my favourite. It’s usually around halfway through the year that I have a better sense of what my wardrobe is lacking, and I’ve always used sale season – which is officially in full swing – to tick off a few items on my wish list.
I learned a few years back not to give into FOMO when it comes to adding to my wardrobe. So like usual, I’m tackling the sales slow. It’s a little harder to stick to my 30 day shopping rule; instead I try to consider only those items I’ve been eyeing up for some time. However that doesn’t stop me from having a quick “window shop”.
Below I’ve picked out some of my favourites from the sales, and as usual, there’s a bit of a theme. Strappy sandals, ditsy floral dresses, denim, tailored suiting and a nice structured handbag. Even if I don’t end up buying anything, it’s interesting to see what styles are driving my tastes at the moment – and what I might like to add to my closet in the seasons ahead.
