Shoes so good you have multiple pairs. Totally guilty when it comes to VIVAIA. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, but comfort is king when it comes to footwear for me, and I love that VIVAIA shoes give me that, without compromising on style. Again, in partnership with VIVAIA I’ll be chatting through new four styles (to my wardrobe), as well as showing how to style them.

If you missed my first post (which you can read here), VIVAIA focuses on creating shoes which are sustainable and stylish. Each pair of shoes is made using the yarn from six recycled plastic bottles. Plus, they’re machine washable, which makes them really easy to care for. I especially love the super flexible rubber sole on the Aria5’s; they’re almost like wearing slippers, but chic!

The unique thing about their shoes is that each and every pair is made using this special recycled yarn, meaning that they’re knitted. What I love about this is that the shoe itself has some flex and give to it, which means that they readily accomodate my wide feet. Also, having put each and every pair to the test, I can happily report that I didn’t get a single blister. Not even on wear “one”.

VIVAIA Melia Pointed Toe Striped Flats

I love the Aria5’s so much, that I was curious to see how the Melia Pointed Toe Flats would compare. Being a similar style and all, but with the d’Orsay cut out effect on the inner part of the shoe. I love a pointed toe flat because they have the effect of making your legs look longer, especially when worn in a similar tone to your complexion.

These fit similarly to the Aria5, though I find they have a tighter weave so they have a bit more structure. A good style if you’re looking for something to take you from work to weekend.

SIZE TAKEN: My regular size, EU40. I find that these fit true to size.

VIVAIA Melody Square Toe Chunky Heels

First thought when I saw the Melody heels? They’d be perfect for work. A chunky block heel – not too low, not too high – and a classic silhouette which is timeless, but with a touch of modernity due to the squared off toe. There’s a padded cushion at the heel which helps to keep the shoes snug on your feet; but it also acts as a buffer in a spot which I find can often be prone to blisters when wearing new shoes.

You can see from the snaps above how good these look when work with a skirt, but equally, they pair well with tailored trousers too. A good basic that you really can’t go wrong with.

Definitely the shoe I was most excited to unbox, and they definitely lived up to my expectations. These have an open knit design, which makes them feel quite airy; perfect for the warmer months. The squared off detail across the vamp feels modern, and the actual shoe itself is very comfortable. Where these differ from the other styles, is that the soft knit upper is single layered (for the most part); it’s what makes them so breathable. Heel height is reasonable too – easy to walk in yet gives you that little boost.

SIZE TAKEN: My regular size, EU40. If in between sizes I recommend taking the smaller of the two.

VIVAIA Donna Pointed Toe Bow Loafers Review

VIVAIA Donna Pointed Toe Bow Loafers

Final style I added to my wardrobe were the Donna pointed toe loafers. What I liked about these was the push and pull of the style. Loafers are generally a style of shoe that lean slightly more masculine. These are anything but. The shoes themselves have a feminine slant, with the bow across the foot, and the pointed toe. Almost feeling somewhat elfish, but in a good way. I especially love how the bow adds a whimsical touch to the style. A perfect pairing with trousers and jeans.

SIZE TAKEN: I went up a size after reviewing the sizing information to an EU41 – definitely the right decision for me.

What color are you wearing in the chunky heel? They offer 3 neutrals that look very similar, but I love the one in your photos.

    Thank you!

I am dying to find shoes for my very wide feet. Due to injury, I have one foot that is wider than the other so shoe shopping is a real challenge. I hope VIVAIA is the answer I have been praying for my entire adult life.

You look terrific in the styles you chose for the photos.

Thank you so much Laura. I love knitted shoe styles as they do tend to have more give and accommodate concerns like bunions and wide feet (both of which I have) so hoping that they work out for you too. Would love to know which pair you decided to order! x
