Kicking off the week with a quick OOTD. You’ll probably be well aware of my love of linen by now; for me, it has the ultimate “chill” factor come summer time. Breathable, breezy, and often in really relaxed silhouettes.

Wearing COS linen shirt; Sussan linen trousers (currently 20% off); Spurr sandals (old but similar); Acne Studios mini musubi bag (first impressions/review here); Mejuri chain bracelet

When the weather has allowed – it has been a wet start to the spring/summer season after all – I’ve been opting for a bit of a linen on linen moment. I find that I’m able to add in dimension or depth by opting for “like” shades, or by pairing a cotton/linen blended item with a 100% linen piece.

Here, I’ve paired a couple of favourites. The oversized linen shirt; which to me, also doubles as a beach cover up. It’s chic worn fully tucked in, but I’ve been leaning into these more relaxed silhouettes. Opting to wear it untucked, with the bottom few buttons worn loose. And the relaxed carpenter trousers; a silhouette I adore – cinched at the waist with a loose tapered fit through the leg. These are more of a washed black/dark grey, which adds a little subtle colour shift.

Tonal looks are my bread and butter, so of course I went with a black sandal. A lot of my styling choices are predictable, if anything. This was an intentional style choice beyond the colour. The shirt – super oversized – combined with the relaxed trousers, required some balance. Exposing that bit of ankle and wearing a shoe which didn’t add any bulk is what really ties this look together. A strappier shoe, or something with more coverage over the foot would have felt a little “off” when paired with this outfit.

It can be nice to have an item you highlight as part of your outfit, and I wanted that to be the bag. My Acne Studios mini musubi, which adds a touch of warmth to the look.
