Wrapping up the week with a short and sweet outfit post. My mantra of late has been basics are best, and this is a pretty good reflection of outfits I’ve been reaching for lately. A minimal colour palette on repeat, and wardrobe classics with a timeless appeal.

Wearing M&S cotton jumper, Dr Denim skinny jeans (old but similar here), Isabel Marant belt (also here), M&S trench coat, Cuyana bag (affordable here), Charles & Keith shoes (gifted), Holly J earrings & necklace

The standout of this outfit of course, are those red shoes. They’re what help stop this look from feeling too ‘safe’, and they add a point of difference. Plus, it’s a simple trick to add in a splash of colour in a Parisienne kind of way.

While the winter chill has definitely set in, it’s still warm enough to wear slingbacks and mules… as long as you layer up on top, that is. Hidden underneath my sweater is a humble t-shirt, fast becoming my go-to layering piece to add an extra barrier between me and the cold.

What have you been wearing lately? x

Red shoes go with anything just like dorothy in the wizard of oz she look great with her ruby red slippers shoes. You just look good in your red kitten heels just a gorgeous look on you.

I love a red shoe for a fun pop of colour. I used to have some bow front red shoes that I called my Wizard of Oz shoes. They were a shiny patent ad so fun! x
